Thank you for your interest in volunteering with The Flower Shuttle. During the Pandemic we are working differently. Small teams of two to six volunteers are working together to continue our mission. Here are some volunteer opportunities currently available:
If you have time for a weekly commitment:
● Become a team leader. If you can host a friend or two weekly or biweekly to make arrangements and deliveries, we can put you in contact with a recipient and flower donors. TFS also provides vases. This is a larger commitment and a truly rewarding opportunity to connect with our community.
If you want to be involved, but cannot work with others on arranging flowers:
● Pick up flowers. We can use help picking up flowers, getting them ready for arranging and delivering to a team. We have teams working in Raleigh, North Raleigh, and Cary.
● Make deliveries. Our teams meet all different days of the week in Raleigh and/or Cary. If you are willing to pick up arrangements from a team and deliver them to a recipient organization, we can use your help.
If you can’t commit on a weekly basis, but want to be involved:
● Substitute on a team. We can put your name on a list of people to call when a team member cannot attend. This would be a smaller commitment.
As always, we welcome donations of clear glass vases and mugs (with no logos) - these can be dropped off at Raleigh Moravian Church, 1816 Ridge Road, Raleigh NC 27607, in our storage bin in the back lot.
We also accept monetary donations mailed to the above address, or paid via credit card online using the button on the Donate page of our website.
